Description
This course is a mandatory requirement to extend your rater status for three years. There is no fee for this class. Students will attend classes in the morning that are specifically related to HERS Ratings, Energy Gauge software and Florida Code Compliance. You will also be asked to sign a current rater agreement if you are continuing with FSEC as your Provider. You have been sent the current FSEC Rater Agreement and Policy and Procedures Manual with the invitation to attend this re-certification session. If you have registered a home and have had QA performed you will be able to leave after the morning session, NO TESTING REQUIRED. Afternoon attendance is limited to those HERS Raters who have not performed any ratings since 2014 and has not had RESNET QA performed on at least one home. You will be required to perform a blower door test as well as a Duct Total and Duct Outside tests. This is an open book and open note exam which requires you to pass each test independently. In the case of failure of any performance test, you will be required to take a Refresher Course which will be offered on a different date. The Refresher Class will have a fee.

Registration begins at 8:00 AM and class starts at 8:30 AM for classes at FSEC

ALL CERTIFIED RATERS ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE THIS CLASS REGARDLESS OF WHEN THEY WERE CERTIFIED. IF YOU WERE CERTIFIED AFTER JANUARY 1, 2016, YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO TAKE THE EXAMS BUT YOU MUST TAKE THIS CLASS. BEGINNING WITH THIS YEAR ALL RATERS WILL BE ON THE SAME 3 YEAR CYCLE FOR RE-CERTIFICATION.
