Note: A certificate of completion will be awarded to each student who successfully completes this course. This certificate is not an Energy Rater certification and does not qualify a student to provide duct air leakage testing for Energy Ratings. Tester qualifications for Florida Code duct air leakage testing are provided in Florida Energy Conservation Code (FECC) Section R403.3.2; anyone can take this course to learn about Florida Code duct testing, but you must be explicitly qualified per FECC R403.3.2 to provide duct testing for Florida Code compliance purposes.

This live, in-person half-day course uses lecture, demonstration and hands-on student participation to train building contractors, code inspectors, and other building professionals how to perform residential duct air leakage tests in compliance with Florida Residential Energy Conservation Code and RESNET Home Energy Rating System (HERS) requirements. Course topics include an overview of duct air leakage testing requirements, duct tester set-up and operation, calculations, and reporting.Note: A certificate of completion will be awarded to each student who successfully completes this course.
