RESNET HERS Raters and RFI's must comply with the RESNET Combustion Appliance Safety Testing protocols outlined in Chapter 8 of RESNET Standards. Combustion Safety Testing is a requirement for homes with gas appliances participating in the EnergyStar program. This is a mandatory requirement for all HERS raters and RFI¿s for ratings as well. The HERS Rater candidates taking this course will be required to participate in a 2 hour practical training which is a part of the HERS rater course during the week of training. HERS Rater candidates will be given the written portion of this exam included as part of the RESNET Standard Exam. RFI candidates are not required to participate in the practical training but will be required to participate in the FSEC practical exam at the end of the one day training as well as the CAZ Practical Exam which can be taken the day of training or remotely at a latter date.

Here is the link to the RESNET portal in order to register and obtain the too : https://portal.resnet.us/.
The class will cover combustion education, RESNET protocols how to perform the testing, hands on practice, and a walk through of the simulation tool. Students are able to take the test on the same day or can choose to come back on another exam day that we have testing.
Registration begins at 8:00 am and class starts at 8:30 am. Lunch is provided on both days.
